Everyone knows that first impressions are important, especially small business owners. If a new client or customer has a negative experience using your product or service, you can be sure that you won’t be getting their business (MONEY) again.
Today more than ever, a customer’s first impression of your business comes before you’ve even met them! Whether you like it or not, within a few seconds of seeing your logo and clicking around your website, potential customers will have formed an opinion of your business. It is absolutely essential to have a well-designed logo and website in today’s business world.
You probably wouldn’t show up to an important meeting with a new client wearing ripped jeans and an old t-shirt, right? Well, unless you’re a graphic designer… just one of the perks of my job. But, generally speaking, it’s a bad idea! Having a clip art logo designed in Microsoft Word by a friend’s “artistic” son, or having a website with misaligned text, garish colors, and blurry images is the online equivalent of that.
Don’t appear unprofessional. Don’t appear as outdated or yesterday’s news. Spend a little money now creating an attractive “face” for your company, and you’ll appear more professional and approachable to customers who haven’t had the pleasure of actually meeting you.
